Used Tesla sales suffer summer slowdown
Used Tesla sales fell from 3,09 units in June to 2,838 units in July, according to the latest data from MarketCheck.
This means used Telsa sales have fallen for three months in row after reaching sales highs of 4,346 and 4,411 in March and April.
But while the slowdown has become progressively more apparent over the summer, volumes are still comparable to where they were last year. Sales last June and July were recorded at 2,636 and 2,983 respectively, and began 2026 with monthly volumes of 2,887 and 2,911 respectively.
Alastair Campbell, MarketCheck UK, said: “There’s been a clear change in momentum in the used Tesla market over the past few months. Sales accelerated sharply during March and April, but since that April high we’ve now seen three consecutive monthly declines. By July, monthly sales were more than a third below their spring peak.
“What’s particularly interesting is that July has also slipped slightly below the level we recorded a year ago. The question now is whether we’re seeing a temporary summer slowdown or the beginning of a more sustained drop off in used Tesla sales.”
