EV Training academy dedicated to fire services unveiled

Silverlake Automotive Recycling has unveiled the first Cobra EV Training Academy in the UK to help fire services safely handle electric vehicles.

It has partnered with Cold Cut Systems UK to establish the academy which is dedicated to helping fire fighters in southern England carry out their duties around electric vehicles.

The academy was officially opened on 27 November, when representatives from Hampshire & Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Services as well as fire fighters from other services experienced both theory and practical training on the Cobra System from Cold Cut Systems.

The system has been developed to interrupt fire propagation in electric vehicle battery fires.
