WD-40 Company has unveiled its first water-based formula after it secured approval from 98% of customers during testing.
The WD-40 Specialist Professional Degreaser is a ready-to-use cleaner that can also be diluted to suit a wide range of cleaning jobs in the workshop, including engine-bay cleaning and degreasing cylinder heads and engine blocks.
It can also be used for cleaning gearbox casings, removing oil contamination prior to repairs and for more general use, cleaning workshop benches and tools.
It is also suitable in commercial vehicle workshops for degreasing an HGV chassis, removing diesel and oil residues from engine components, cleaning fifth-wheel coupling plate and trailer landing gear maintenance.
Meanwhile, in bodyshops it can be utilised for cleaning greasy mechanical components, tools and spraybooth equipment.
The product is available in two formats: a one-litre ready-to-use trigger spray bottle and a five-litre refill container.
