Road safety charity Brake welcomes Delphi as corporate partner

Road safety charity Brake has begun a new corporate partnership with vehicle parts provider Delphi.

As part of the partnership, Delphi will back Brake’s work campaigning for safer roads and supporting bereaved and injured road victims.

This announcement comes after Delphi announced its Make Some Noise campaign in the summer, intended to boost awareness of the importance of braking safety. It is aimed at promoting high standards of vehicle braking components and encouraging garages and motor vehicle technicians to purchase top-quality parts.

Aliya Lam, country director UK at PHINIA, of which Delphi is a brand, said: “We want to help raise awareness of the role that quality braking components, correct fitment and regular maintenance play in keeping people safe on the road.

“For Delphi, this is about more than simply supplying quality parts. It’s about working with the aftermarket industry to promote better understanding, better choices and better braking performance, from the workshop right through to the driver. Brake safety is something that is personally very important to me, so being able to support an organisation dedicated to making our roads safer makes this partnership particularly meaningful.”

Ross Moorlock, Brake CEO, added: “I am delighted to welcome Delphi as an associated partner with Brake. Safe vehicles are an integral part of the safe system approach to road safety. Quite simply, safe vehicles save lives.

“This partnership will contribute to Brake’s work campaigning for road safety for everyone – whoever we are and however we travel – and crucially, supporting families who have been impacted by road crashes. Thank you to Delphi for joining us.”
