On target for Sycamore Trust

Fix Auto Dagenham will hope to hit the target for the Sycamore Trust when it plays a charity football match at Dagenham & Redbridge FC on 21 May.

Supported by colleagues from other Fix Auto franchise partners, they will take on a team from Enterprise in a rematch of last year’s game.

Enterprise won that match 4-3, but the Sycamore Trust was the real winner with £6,000 raised to help it provide support for families and carers for whom autism and learning difficulties are part of everyday life.

Neil Parker, operations director at Fix Auto Dagenham, said: “Last year, thanks to the support from everyone involved and in particular all at Enterprise, we proved we could put on a decent game, raise fantastic amount money and only lose by one goal, which, depending on who you ask, is practically a win.

“This year we’re aiming to raise even more for a worthy cause – although beating the Enterprise guys would also be satisfying. We’d love to see a bigger crowd come down and support us because every person there helps us raise more money for the Sycamore Trust. And who knows, a bit more noise from the sidelines could be exactly what we need to avoid another painful post-match debrief.”
