MotorPlan secures Motor Ombudsman accreditation

The Motor Ombudsman has announced that MotorPlan has gained accreditation to its Motor Industry Code of Practice for Vehicle Warranty Products.

About 70% of the automotive sector’s major warranty providers are now signed up to the Chartered Trading Standards Institute (CTSI)-approved standard.

Accreditation underlines MotorPlan’s commitment to deliver high standards of service to customers, and to following recognised industry best practice in the provision and administration of its warranty products.

It also demonstrates MotorPlan’s focus on having effective processes in place for dealing with customer enquiries and claims in a transparent and timely manner, while ensuring that any complaints are handled effectively.

Andrew Brown, subscriber operations manager at The Motor Ombudsman, said: “We are delighted to welcome MotorPlan to our Vehicle Warranty Products Code. This reflects a clear commitment to putting customers first and upholding the highest standards expected of those operating in today’s highly competitive vehicle warranty sector.

“Accreditation to the Code therefore provides an important and clear point of differentiation for MotorPlan, demonstrating to customers that they are choosing a business committed to responsible practices, transparent information and fair outcomes.”

Emma Motley, operations director at MotorPlan, added: “This marks an important step for our business and reflects our ongoing ethos to strive for high standards for our customers, while operating in line with recognised industry best practice. We are looking forward to.”
