Chris Ryder named AutoRaise deputy chair

AutoRaise has named Activate Collisions Solutions managing director Chris Ryder as new deputy chair.

Ryder, who has supported AutoRaise for a number of years as both a trustee and an investor, will focus on strengthening industry engagement, expanding partnerships and helping more young people access careers within automotive repair.

He brings commercial expertise and strategic insight to the role and has recently represented AutoRaise at the Houses of Parliament as part of the Skills Commission’s work to reduce youth unemployment and also supported the development of the charity’s AutoYouth Alliance and Careers Resource Centre.

He will work alongside Simon Smith, chair at AutoRaise, the board of Trustees and the executive team to help drive the next phase of the charity’s development.

His appointment underlines the charity’s continued focus on developing the industry’s future workforce and building stronger partnerships across the sector.
