Last year’s event was a sell-out with around 500 industry figures in attendance, plus more than 400 bodyshop and supply chain leaders attending the daytime Expo. The Bodyshop Awards team is looking forward to another successful couple of days this autumn.
Simon Wait, editor of Bodyshop Magazine, said: “Once again we’re inviting our automotive family to join us for our two-day Bodyshop Awards & Expo near Birmingham, where we will celebrate this year’s highest achievers and future leaders, and lay on some valuable learning opportunities, and throw some fun-and-games into the mix.
“And with only one month remaining before nominations close on 31 March for the Awards and our ever popular 30 Under 30 competition, we’re already close to breaking previous entry records. I expect the quality of the competition to reach another level this year, and I can’t wait to see what the apprentices and technicians have to show us when they face off in the practical assessments at Thatcham Research in June.”
The line-up of major Bodyshop Awards categories first established in 1997 will continue this year with Bodyshop Manager of the Year, Technical Training Provider, Supply Chain Partner, Small, Medium, Large and Group Bodyshop, plus the return of the Vehicle Manufacturer and Work Provider categories.
New Awards categories
There will also be three completely new categories reflecting the technological advances in the sector. These are ADAS Services Provider of the Year, which is open to diagnostics and calibration companies, Bodyshop Software which is open to bodyshop management systems and estimating software providers, and Apprentice Vehicle Damage Assessor of the Year.
The Technician and Apprentice categories for skilled MET, panel and paint technicians, and VDAs, are all about promoting technical excellence and inspiring the next generation of repair professionals.
