BASF Coatings hosts 1st Central Insurance engineers
NBRA member BASF Coatings UK has hosted another group of 1st Central Insurance engineers at its technical paint awareness workshop.
Led by automotive refinish trainer Rob Linehan, the session combined classroom learning and live demonstrations covering digital colour identification, modern paint repair processes, blending techniques, and the requirements of modern vehicle technologies such as ADAS, radar sensors and electric vehicles.
A key focus of the day was how sustainable products and low-energy repair processes can help bodyshops, repair networks and insurers reduce environmental impact while maintaining high-quality repair standards.
The workshop also sparked open discussions around improving repair outcomes and supporting wider sustainability goals across the sector.
Further sessions will be held throughout the year for repair networks and insurance industry teams.
