Auto Windscreens looks to the stars for ADAS calibrations
Auto Windscreens is adding satellite-based connectivity to its mobile vans to improve the reliability of ADAS calibrations.
It is installing Starlink’s satellite-based internet technology to its Auto Calibrate vans to ensure technicians have reliable connections in workshops with weak internet signals.
Remote ADAS calibration relies heavily on a stable connection to access manufacturer data, run software and complete validation processes. Following trials, Auto Windscreens found that Starlink improved connectivity for its Auto Calibrate technicians operating in remote areas.
Claire Church, director of service delivery at Auto Windscreens, said: “We’re pleased to share this new step forward in how we’re looking after partners and customers. By equipping our Auto Calibrate vans with satellite technology, we’re ensuring our technicians can stay connected, even in low-signal or remote locations.
“This will help us reduce delays caused by poor connectivity and increases the efficiency of every job.
“This is another example of how we’re continuing to invest in the latest solutions to support our partners. It helps ensure our calibrations are completed the right way, in controlled environments and to the highest standard, wherever they are in the country.”
