3M is introducing a new and improved range of the 3M Hookit Blue Net Abrasives, combining an open net structure designed to optimise dust extraction with extended disc life compared to other ceramic blend net abrasives in the class, while delivering superior cut performance.
Available as discs and sheet rolls in grades 80 to 400, 3M Hookit Blue Net Abrasives are said to provide consistent, high-quality results for body repair and paint preparation.

“With Blue Net Abrasives, technicians can continue using their existing techniques and equipment while achieving immediate results, particularly in coarser grades when sanding materials such as filler or glaze. In addition, the increased durability enables more work to be completed with fewer abrasive changes.”
The durability and strength of 3M Hookit Blue Net Abrasives are based on an engineered blend of ceramic and aluminium oxide minerals, combined with enhanced adhesion to the net backing. When used with the 3M Clean Sanding System or similar setups, this combination can help achieve up to 95% dust extraction and reduce abrasive loading when sanding fillers, primers and other coatings.
The new design also provides improved hook-and-loop attachment to the back-up pad, enhanced edge retention, and excellent resistance to wrinkling, stretching and tearing, including on edges and contoured surfaces. With improved disc rigidity, the abrasives perform more effectively than the previous version across a range of substrates, applications and surface shapes.
3M Hookit Blue Net Abrasives are available through authorised 3M distributors. The competitively priced range includes 203 mm, 150 mm and 75 mm net discs, as well as 10-metre net sheet rolls in 70 mm and 115 mm widths.
