3M completes 50th UK RepairStack installation
3M has announced it has completed the installation of its 50th RepairStack in the UK just 20 months after launching in the UK.
Developed to help bodyshops streamline the repair processes, RepairStack provides a structured, visual approach to managing materials and consumables.
By helping technicians access the products they need at each stage of a repair, it supports greater organisation, reduces unnecessary product movement around the workshop and helps improve process efficiency.
The 50th UK installation was completed at Group 1’s repair centre near Worthing and will be rolled out across the company’s seven other sites spanning Basingstoke, Bedford, Borehamwood, Chelmsford, Hailsham, Norwich, Southend.
Saunders Cowie, head of bodyshops and smart UK at Group 1, said: “With eight repair centres we value consistency, efficiency and having the right processes in place are incredibly important to us. RepairStack provides our teams with a clear and structured way of managing materials and consumables, helping technicians work more efficiently while supporting greater consistency across our sites.”
Meanwhile, multi-site operator Warwick-based Fastech has also signed up to have RepairStack installed across its multiple repair centres.
Lee Roan, RepairStack sales leader, automotive aftermarket at 3M, said: “Reaching 50 UK installations in just 20 months is a fantastic achievement and a clear indication how RepairStack is resonating with the UK collision repair sector.
“As the system has long been firmly established in America, when we brought it to the UK we believed it could make a genuine difference to the way repairers manage their processes and improve efficiency within the workshop.
“To now have 50 installations completed – with a key multi-site operator such as Group 1 taking the milestone position – demonstrates the growing confidence in the system.”
