100,000 used hybrid vehicles for sale
Nearly 100,000 used hybrid vehicles are now on sale in the UK, according to the latest data from MarketCheck.
It found that 99,237 used hybrid vehicles were advertised for sales in September, the highest number on record and more than double the 43,575 used hybrid vehicles for sale in 2023.
September’s total surpasses the previous record set in March and underlines demand for used hybrids has continued to growth throughout the year.
Alastair Campbell, MarketCheck UK, said: “The growth in the used hybrid market over the past three years has been remarkable. We’ve gone from around 43,500 vehicles on the market in May 2023 to almost 100,000 today. September represents another important milestone, with used hybrid stock reaching its highest level since our records began.
“For consumers, that means significantly more choice when considering a hybrid vehicle. For retailers, it demonstrates just how quickly the used market is changing as more electrified vehicles enter the second-hand sector.
“We’re now approaching the point where 100,000 used hybrids could be available on the UK market at any one time, something that would have seemed a long way off just a few years ago.”
