Automechanika Birmingham 2025 to showcase Hella Gutmann ADAS

Hella Gutmann urges ADAS investment in 2025

Automotive diagnostics and workshop equipment provider Hella Gutmann will shine a spotlight on ADAS at Automechanika Birmingham 2025 next month.

The presentation, titled: ‘ADAS: Today’s Opportunity and Tomorrow’s Technology,’ is scheduled for Wednesday, 4 June, from 11:00 to 11:25 in the Workshop Hub.

The session will be led Steve Fox, technical and training manager at Hella Gutmann, who will highlight the growing significance of ADAS in today’s workshops.

He said: “ADAS is no longer a feature exclusive to premium vehicles. It’s now standard on many of the cars you’re already servicing. The crucial question is, how many ADAS systems does each vehicle have, and what impact does the routine work we do have on these systems?”

ADAS technology

The session will focus on how ADAS technology is rapidly becoming an essential part of vehicle maintenance and repair. Fox will outline what workshops need in terms of equipment, diagnostic tools, remote access, training, and technical data to handle this evolving demand efficiently.

He’ll also cover how investing in ADAS capabilities can boost profitability, create new revenue streams and help repairers retain existing customers.

Fox concluded:

“For independent garages, investing in ADAS calibration is more than just a technical necessity, it’s a valuable business opportunity. It’s not just about generating new revenue streams. It’s also about building customer loyalty and positioning your workshop as a professional alternative to the main dealers in a rapidly evolving market.”
