School of Thought and Eyebox to host Automotive Careers Fair
School of Thought has announced that it will host an Automotive Careers Fair at Eyebox Training & Conference Centre in Coventry in December.
It is working with the Warwickshire Skills Hub to host the event intended to promote the industry to year 10 and year 11 pupils.
More than 50 young people from local schools are expected to attend the Automotive Careers Fair, which will showcase the cutting-edge innovations and varied career opportunities available in the automotive aftermarket.
Alongside a series of spotlight talks from local businesses, the day will also see industry suppliers, manufacturers, employers and training bodies demonstrate the latest technologies and developments in ADAS, vehicle diagnostics, consumables and abrasives.
Already confirmed to be attending on the day are Apprenticeships Central, Mirka, Indasa, TMD Friction, Hella, Valeo, FMG RS, Binley Woods, Remit, Repairify, and Autotech Connect.
Next career step
Dave Reece from School of Thought said: “I’m working with Michael Massey, Morelli and the Warwickshire Careers Business Unit to organise the first dedicated automotive careers fair at Eyebox on Tuesday, 9 December. We have up 50 pupils from local schools interested in automotive careers attending and the plan is to have a series of company demonstrations on the day.
“This will help them not only see some of the job roles in person but also exchange details with real employers in Warwickshire for their next career step.”
