LKQ bolsters support for bodyshops with seven new hires

LKQ has appointed seven new hires to its strategic partnership and account management teams, as it continues to invest in the support it provides to bodyshops.
Jade McGowan is a strategic account manager within the business’ strategic partnership team and brings with her more than 15 years’ experience in the automotive industry – including roles at Cazoo and automotive paint supplier PPG.
Collective expertise
David Babot also joins the team as a strategic account manager after spending more than eight years at Farecla Products, where he held positions both in sales and business development. Babot brings experience initiating and building industry relationships as well as developing new routes to market.
The new pair will both report into Chris Roe, head of strategic partnerships, at LKQ Bodyshop. Roe said as LKQ bolsters support for bodyshops:
“We’re committed to supporting bodyshops’ unique needs as they navigate the challenges of today’s market. By leveraging our collective expertise and resources, we ensure every customer receives the right solutions to drive profitable and sustainable growth. Regardless of the complexities they face, our unified approach means they can rely on us for seamless, consistent support.”
Ben Duffy has joined the team as account manager for Staffordshire, West Midlands and the North West. Duffy has worked in the industry for 11 years and previously held the role of bodyshop sales account manager at Kindertons Accident Management. Ellen Moreton also joins as an account manager for the Midlands and moves over from the estate agency and renting sector.
Further new hires include Neil Redden, Gareth Taylor and James Daye who have previous experience in the wider LKQ UK and Ireland group of businesses. Redden joins as divisional account manager having previously held the role of head of sales excellence training for the Birmingham region of LKQ Euro Car Parts. He covers a national brief, with all regional account managers reporting into him.
Taylor moves into the bodyshop team as a regional account manager for the West Midlands, from his previous role as a branch manager at LKQ Euro Car Parts.

Daye joins LKQ as a specialist business development manager, with a focus on growing existing specialist business and securing new revenue in the commercial and light industrial vehicle market. Daye has worked for LKQ as an account manager previously, and spent time working for an accident management company in Northern Ireland before moving back to the collision repair sector.
Deboragh Greenwood heads up the account management team, with Redden reporting directly into her. Greenwood said as LKQ bolsters support for bodyshops: “LKQ doesn’t provide a one-size-fits-all approach, instead, we cater to the specific needs of each bodyshop, whether it’s dealing with supply chain complexities or responding to the growing demand for sustainable repair solutions.
“We pride ourselves on building meaningful relationships with customers and I have no doubt that every one of our new hires will be excellent additions to the team. In their first few weeks they’ve already been getting out to meet customers and shadowing existing team members to help them develop the skills and relationships they’ll need to hit the ground running.”
The new hires come as LKQ continues to invest in the support it provides to bodyshops, which includes a dedicated training proposition and warehouse in Tamworth.
