AIMS Lite ordering system goes mobile

ACIS is launching a new mobile version of its electronic ordering system, AIMS Lite, aimed at bodyshops, repair pods and vans.
This will enable repairers to order paint and bodyshop consumables more conveniently by accessing the platform on any smartphone device.
This means technicians can build their requirement lists while roaming the bodyshop, standing in front of their store cupboard or the paint mixing room.
AIMS Lite also allows repairers to have predefined product lists assigned to different parts of the business, allowing bodyshop owners and managers to control the products that each department, repair pod or van are using.
ACIS claims this can lead to a reduction in paint and consumable costs of up to 20%.
Efficiency
To enhance efficiency, items can also be added to the requirements list by using the phone camera to scan the barcode of the product required, with techs able to add products to an ‘order later’ list if they are not immediately required.
Jez Chapman, ACIS business development manager, said: “As everything is expected to be accessible on a mobile phone these days, it’s fantastic to see ACIS meeting customer expectations and developing a system that’s extremely easy to use. Using the mobile system will reduce the time it takes to build and place an order and will be a welcome improvement for any bodyshop, repair pod or mobile repairer.”
