Autotech Training names first MD

Autotech Training has named Colin Gleghorn as its first managing director dedicated to the brand.

The decision to create a role responsible solely for Autotech Training, a division of Autotech Group, signifies a considerable step forward for the company.

Autotech Training has grown considerably since its launch in 2016 and is well-placed to build upon its strong foundations and enhance its offering further.

In the last 12 months alone its team has doubled in size to manage demand, with an in-house team of four and a remote team of trainers delivering courses on the premises of any garage or business looking to upskill its employees.

In his new position, Gleghorn will drive forward the success of this team, refine the current training offering and create new solutions to meet the ongoing training needs of the wider automotive industry.

He said: “I am delighted to be joining Autotech Training, a group of professionals totally committed to delivering high impact training to UK and European clients. As the automotive sector continues to recover from recent global challenges, progressive businesses that have well motivated, professionally trained, and process driven employees will ensure success.”

Simon King, group managing director of Autotech Group, said: “Autotech Training has gone from strength to strength over recent years, which is testament to the high quality offering of MOT and technical training courses. The launch of our dedicated EV training suite in 2020, and the ability to roll out our offering has also attributed to this success and, as demand for our services continues to grow, I am delighted that the brand is in the experienced hands of Colin to spearhead this future success.”
