Škoda sets July sales record

Škoda has reported the best July figures in its history, driven by demand in Western Europe.

It increased its deliveries in July by 3.1% to 102,700 units. Sales in Western Europe rose 12.3%, with growth in central Europe at 11.2% and Eastern Europe at 18.4%. However, sales in China fell 15.7% compared to this time last year.

High demand for the SUV models Karoq and Kodiaq has played a major role in the brand’s growth.

Alain Favey, board member for sales and marketing, said, ‘For the first time in our history, we have delivered more than 100,000 vehicles in a July. We are delighted with the high demand for our SUV models Kodiaq and Karoq.

‘This underlines the fact that we have hit the mark with our SUV campaign. In the coming months, we expect further growth stimulus from our new city SUV Škoda Kamiq, in particular.’
