New car plant tipped for Wales

It’s been reported that a new car manufacturing plant will be built in Wales.

The Telegraph has reported that Ineos Automotive will build the Grenadier in Wales following a support package from the devolved government in Cardiff.

The Grenadier is described as a rival to the Land Rover Defender.

It’s understood production will be split between the US and Wales.

Ineos has not commented, but founder Sir Jim Ratcliffe is expected to confirm the news this week.
