Motofix adds ADAS capabilities

The Motofix Group has announced that seven of its sites have been fitted with state-of-the-art ADAS equipment.

The new solution, supplied and fitted by Pro-Align and approved by VWG, means that selected Motofix sites are now able to deliver geometry alignment and ADAS set-up.

Pro-Align business development manager, Greg Thompson, said, ‘ADAS is becoming more and more familiar on today’s vehicles as the manufacturers aim to make their vehicles safer on our roads. We are proud to be associated with Motofix and to have been able to equip their workshops with the manufacturer approved Hunter Wheel alignment equipment and ADAS calibration products, as well offering IMI certified training to their alignment technicians.’

Technologies such as lane departure warnings, adaptive cruise control and automatic braking are becoming increasingly popular, and all require the vehicle’s wheels to be in correct alignment. The choice to adopt this equipment was also powered by customer demand, a changing marketplace and the need to reduce key to key times.

Richard Tutt, executive chairman, said, ‘We’re delighted to be able to offer this new service to our customers. This is a significant investment for the Group that demonstrates our continued commitment to expanding our service offering and future proof the business.’
