BASF hosts refinish seminar

BASF hosted its Refinish Technical Awareness Seminar at ITAS, Milton Keynes last week, when Mazda’s customer services technical support and approved bodyshop representatives were introduced to a range of new innovations.

The team reviewed current BASF refinish innovations, products, Mazda special colour repair stages and the complexity of refinish application process. Common OEM and aftermarket refinish paint imperfections were also discussed.

Furthermore, the Mazda team also reviewed paint testing processes and how the correct use of Glasurit and R-M’s colour tools, online support and processes lead to a perfect refinish colour.

Simon Cotterell, Mazda UK technical support supervisor said, ‘The team has been very positive, it was great to have the opportunity to have our questions answered by people that are clearly very knowledgeable and passionate about this subject.’

The session was led by BASF’s EMEA technical manager Colin Drain, and supported by additional members of the BASF team Mike Irving, Mike Strydom and Jason Lea.
