Autonomous market set to swell

Autonomous vehicles in the Asia-Pacific region could break the 24 million barrier by 2024, according to new research.

Graphical Research said the rise was being partly driven by increasing popularity of electric vehicles, with both technologies being used together.

Countries like India, Singapore, Malaysia are developing infrastructure for the implementation of electric vehicles, which could help in the growth of autonomous vehicles as well.

Wide adoption of ADAS in the region is also boosting the growth of autonomous vehicle market. In the face of tightening safety norms, auto manufacturers deploying ADAS in their vehicles not only to gain the trust of the customers but also to support the self-driving technology.
