Alten acquires UK data specialist

An engineering and technology consultancy, Alten, has expanded it UK presence by acquiring Quick Release (Automotive) Ltd, which provides product data management services and consultancy to automotive manufacturers and Tier 1 component suppliers.
The resultant strategic partnership will accelerate existing plans to diversify PDM offerings into additional market sectors and geographies.
Robert Ferrone, Quick Release founding director, said, ‘Quick Release and Alten are a great fit for each other. The plan is to deploy our offer in new geographies, while reinforcing our existing presence in the UK, Germany, Spain, North America and Australia.
