This Institute of Traffic Accident Investigators (ITAI) seminar presented by Dr Michael Weyde is aimed at accident analysts who are involved in the evaluation of driving data from event data recorders (EDR). After a short introduction to the historical development of driving data storage, the current status of EDR according to UN-ECE Directive R160 will be presented. The evaluation of driving data from EDR is then presented using concrete case studies. Participants will be provided with a spreadsheet that takes possible tolerances into account and offers various graphical representation options for accident reconstruction.
