Safer Journeys campaign launched to reduce road risks
Ogilvie Fleet has launched its Safer Journeys campaign to improve road safety in the UK.
The initiative brings together a range of activities to promote improved driving behaviours and raise awareness around road risks.
The launch comes as road safety continues to be a major concern for employers and drivers alike, with one in four road deaths and a fifth of serious injuries involving someone driving for work.
As part of its ongoing commitment to safer roads, Ogilvie has launched a Driver Pledge campaign, which encourages motorists to commit to safer driving behaviours such as regular vehicle checks, distraction-free driving, taking breaks when needed, and looking out for vulnerable road users.
It will also provide high-visibility vests to schools in Stirling and Sheffield, its Scotland and England headquarters, and deliver road safety resources to customers.
Ashley Crookes, sales and marketing director of the campaign, said: “As a business that works with thousands of drivers and fleet operators across the UK, we have a responsibility to help promote safer behaviours behind the wheel every day. Whether that’s through education, supporting local communities or raising funds for Brake, we will continue to play our part in creating safer roads for everyone.”
