Precision Repair Group acquires M&N Vehicle Services
Precision Repair Group has welcomed M&N Vehicle Services of Peterborough as its seventh business and its second in commercial vehicles.
M&N offers fleet customers mechanical maintenance, MOT and HGV testing and 24-hour roadside cover.
The business was formed in 2009 by Michael Ambrosio and Chris Noll, who were both employed but serving their own customers by night and at weekends. Business grew enough to justify a single-bay workshop, and that quickly expanded to three sites serving cars, vans and HGVs.
M&N now repairs vehicles of every make to manufacturer standards and runs MOT and HGV testing.
Following the acquisition, Ambrosio will remain as managing director alongside Noll alongside him, while customers and suppliers deal with the same people they always have.
Vic Turner, Precision Repair Group CEO, said: “M&N is the kind of business we like to back. It has been built over many years by people who understand the industry, know what customers need and have developed strong, long-term relationships with fleets and local businesses.
“What particularly stood out to us was the journey Michael and Chris have been on. M&N has been built from the ground up, and its reputation has been earned through years of hard work, customer service and investment in its people. Our role is to support that success rather than change what makes M&N work.”
She continued: “M&N brings significant commercial vehicle, fleet maintenance and testing capability to the group and complements what we already have within DSL. We see a great opportunity to build on those strengths while retaining the local expertise, people and customer relationships that have made M&N successful.
“We are delighted to welcome Michael, Chris and the wider M&N team to PRG and look forward to working with them as the business enters its next phase.”
Ambrosio added: “When Chris and I started M&N in 2009, our ambition was never to build a huge company or make as much money as possible. It was much simpler than that. We wanted to provide the best customer service we could, look after people’s vehicles properly and build a business that customers genuinely wanted to come back to.
“Today we have three sites and around 45 employees and when I look back it is difficult to believe how far we have come from those early days in a van. What makes me most proud is that the growth was never really the objective. The objective was always to give customers the best service we possibly could. The success that followed was a by-product of doing that consistently, surrounding ourselves with good people and building relationships that have lasted for years.
“Those foundations are still at the heart of M&N today. That is why the investment from PRG is so important to me. It isn’t about walking away from something we built. It is about finding the right partner to help take something we are incredibly proud of into its next chapter, while keeping the values and customer focus that got us here in the first place.”
