Fix Auto Slough has secured Tesla approval after sustained investment in electric vehicle repair technology.
It becomes the fourth bodyshop in the network to become an approved Tesla repairer after Fix Auto Stoke-on-Trent, Fix Auto Caldicot and Fix Auto Loughborough.
Tesla approval, which adds to the company’s existing portfolio of badges including Volvo, Polestar, Hyundai, Toyota and Lexus, follows a deliberate programme of investment focused on electric vehicle capabilities.
This has included a new Tech Bay, dedicated facilities, manufacturer-specified equipment and technicians trained to the required safety standards.
Owner Ranjit Gill said: “EVs are integral to the future of the car and Tesla is pivotal to that. We’ve been repairing EVs for some time and when we relocated three years ago we made a conscious decision to build our Tech Bay specifically for electric vehicle repairs.
“We first earned Polestar approval and have long repaired Teslas for retail customers, so to now be a fully certified approved repairer for the company is a major achievement and I couldn’t be prouder. It’s another defining new chapter for the business.”
Milestone
Mark Hutchins, operations director for Fix Auto UK, added: “You can only congratulate Ranjit and the team for this latest milestone. He set out his stall by investing in the future of his business with a dedicated ‘Tech Bay’ back in 2022, and that investment is clearly paying dividends. Having a fourth certified Tesla approved repairer in the network is a real strength for our customers and cannot be overstated.”
