Fix Auto Loughborough receives Tesla seal of approval

Fix Auto Loughborough is the latest repairer within Fix Auto UK to achieve official approval status from Tesla.

The appointment follows a major investment by owner Paul Smith in equipment, training and facilities at the Leicestershire repair centre and is yet another show of commitment to delivering exceptional quality, safety and service in vehicle repairs.

Hefty portfolio of approvals

The new Tesla status will sit within a hefty portfolio of vehicle manufacturer approvals already held by the repairer including both entire Stellantis and Volkswagen stable of marques. Fix Auto Loughborough’s achievement follows the success gained by Fix Auto Caldicot and Fix Auto Stoke-on-Trent last year.

Earning Tesla’s approval is a rigorous process that requires meeting stringent standards and specific equipment, technician training to meet the strict safety guidelines surrounding repairing EV vehicles.

Fix Auto Loughborough Tesla approval

Smith said of the Fix Auto Loughborough approval: “It has long been said EVs are integral to the future of cars and Teslas are certainly pivotal to that notion. While we have been repairing EVs for some time, we needed to be fully immersed in the process to ensure every EV is repaired safely and what better way to ensure we meet those requirements than to gain official status from Tesla itself. It’s yet another proud moment for the business.”

Bodyshop manager Terry McCarthy, who has been a major driving force the decision to invest heavily and commit to gaining the Tesla approval, added:

“Securing a VM approval for EV specific car manufacturer has long been part of our future strategy to safeguard the business and we have long had Tesla in our sights. The support, help and guidance from the team there has been tremendous. Yes, it has been a long, thorough and expensive process but certainly worth it. Gaining the official seal of approval from Tesla doesn’t come lightly so we are extremely proud of what we have achieved. We are looking forward to working with Tesla in the future.”
