Laser Tools unveils Future 50 to mark 50-year milestone

Laser Tools is marking its 50-year anniversary with the launch of Future 50, a new initiative supporting young technicians in the automotive aftermarket.

Future 50 offers repairers the opportunity to nominate apprentices to receive a Laser Tools Apprentice Took Kit, which includes a range of products to support their development.

To qualify, apprentices must already be employed with the business and enrolled in training.

Successful apprentices will also benefit from advice, training and accreditation opportunities to be announced shortly.

Next generation

Eddie Altham, Laser Tools managing director, said: “We are very proud to celebrate the 50-year anniversary of Laser Tools. It’s a magnificent milestone to achieve and gives us an opportunity to reflect on how far the company has come since Martin Smith founded the business.

“While it’s a time to reflect, it’s also an opportunity to focus on the years ahead and the Future 50 is designed to do that by supporting the next generation of mechanics and technicians.

“With the wider automotive aftermarket facing a skills gap, it’s a good time to launch the Future 50 as it provides practical support to young people beginning their career journey in the industry.”

Product launch

Meanwhile, Laser Tools is also marking its landmark anniversary by launching 50 new tools, each with a 50-year warranty.

Altham concluded: “We are also launching the 50 new tools range, each with a 50-year warranty.  As always, the new products showcase both our commitment to technology and innovation, and support mechanics and technicians with the right tools for their workshop requirements.”
