CRASH Services marks four-day working week milestone

CRASH Services is marking the sixth anniversary of operating a four‑day working week.

The company was one of the first businesses in Northern Ireland to introduce a four-day week with no reduction in pay.

All employees now work 28 hours a week instead of 35, underlining the company’s focus on wellbeing and productivity.

Alongside improved work-life balance, CRASH Service has also reported higher staff morale and improved customer service, with 99% of customers and 98% of employees saying they would recommend the company to a friend.

Work-life balance

Operations and HR director Michelle Murphy said: “Our team supports customers during challenging and often stressful situations following an accident. Ensuring a healthy work‑life balance enables our people to perform at their best, giving care and compassion to all our customers.

“When we introduced the four‑day week after a two-year planning project starting in 2018, there was palpable excitement across the business. Six years on, the results speak for themselves.

“Our research showed that time spent with family, friends, and on personal wellbeing is incredibly valuable to our team. The foundations we’ve built have allowed us to continue moving forward while delivering exceptional service to our customers.”
