Average used LCV values rise in February
BCA has reported strong light commercial vehicle demand with average used LCV values rising to £8,393 in February.
This makes it the third highest monthly average recorded and five per cent or £397 higher than the same month last year.
Sold volumes also increased with over 2,750 unique buyers during the month and performance against guide price at 106%.
Stuart Pearson, BCA COO UK said: “Currently there is a level of confidence in the LCV market that is producing some very encouraging results, fuelled by a broad selection of stock and some extraordinarily strong buyer engagement on certain LCVs. Despite volumes increasing, values were stable across most price points during the month and performance against guide price expectations continued to improve.
“The year has got off to a good start in the LCV market at BCA and there is an extremely healthy balance between supply and demand, which is good news for both sellers and buyers alike. We’ve seen solid demand so far in March and whilst the market can experience some pressure as we move towards the Easter period, currently the expectation remains for both demand and prices to remain resilient.”

Stock acquisition
He added “With new LCV registrations remaining under pressure, quality used stock acquisition remains critical for LCV dealers. BCA continues to deliver a daily online LCV sales programme that offers the widest range of stock in the marketplace.
“Our ongoing investment to support both cosmetic and mechanical preparation ensures that BCA can offer more LCVs in optimal condition, driving first time conversion rates for sellers and delivering more retail quality vehicles for buyers.”
