Louise O’Sullivan names smart UK CEO
Louise O’Sullivan has been appointed CEO of smart UK, the joint venture between Mercedes-Benz AG and Geely.
She replaces Jason Allbutt, who returns to Mercedes-Benz after two years in the role at the head of smart UK.
O’Sullivan is an experienced automotive leader with over 25 years’ experience across marketing, commercial strategy, network operations and automotive financial services.
She has most recently served as deputy managing director and commercial director at Volvo Car Financial Services UK, and was previously an executive director at Renault Group UK.
O’Sullivan said: “I am delighted to be joining smart at such an exciting time. The brand is going from strength to strength, with an award-winning model range, including the #5’s recent crowning as What Car?’s Family Electric SUV of the Year, and the upcoming introduction of the new #2.
“I look forward to leading the company’s continued growth in the UK over the years to come.”
