Silverlake Automotive Recycling celebrates sustainability success
Silverlake Automotive Recycling has secured a prestigious award for its commitment to sustainability.
The Southampton-based company was crowned winner of the Big Sustainability Awards, held at the Hilton Southampton Utilita Bowl by the Southern Sustainability Partnership.
Outstanding contributions
The awards recognise and celebrate those companies that have made outstanding contributions to environmental stewardship and sustainable business practices across the South of England.
It impressed judges with its innovative online parts portal and circular economy model, which supplies quality graded, warranty assured, reclaimed vehicle parts to bodyshops. By reclaiming, grading and supplying cost-effective vehicle parts for reuse, the company helps to protect the local environment and reduce vehicle repair and maintenance costs for businesses and the motoring public.
Between January 2024 and May 2025, it diverted over 18,000 parts from landfill and saved nearly 95,000 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent emissions.
Responsible vehicle repair
Allen Prebble, managing director of Silverlake Automotive Recycling, said: “We are truly honoured to receive this recognition. It reflects not just our commitment to sustainability but the passion and dedication of our entire team who work tirelessly to deliver our transformative circular economy model.
“We also want to sincerely thank our bodyshop customers, whose ongoing demand for reclaimed parts drives this progress and proves that sustainability and commercial success go hand in hand.
“Together, we’re showing that responsible vehicle repair and maintenance can reduce waste, cut emissions, lower costs, and make driving safer for everyone in Hampshire and beyond.”
