Dealer Auction renews remarketing contract with Hertz

Dealer Auction has announced it has renewed its remarketing contract with fleet operator Hertz for a further two years.

As part of the contract, Dealer Auction will continue to deliver its bespoke cascading system, which offers three different tiers to the selling process for both its closed and open networks. These tiers include a 24-hour timed auction, a 48-hour buy-it-now listing, and Dealer Auction’s new Make Me an Offer solution.

The renewal was secured following stand out results from the initial partnership between the two businesses. Dealer Auction worked with Hertz to revamp its remarketing strategy, helping Hertz grow its buyer base by 31% in just six months and reduce its days-to-sell by four and increase its CAP performance by five per cent.

Dave Pretty, head of OEM and fleet at Dealer Auction, added: “When Hertz first came to us, their remarketing strategy needed a complete overhaul. It was a big challenge, but that’s not something we’re scared of at Dealer Auction.

“It fills me with immense pride to see, not only how far we have come today, but how the collective effort of both our team and Hertz’s will see this partnership progress into the future. We can’t wait to continue on this journey with Hertz.”

Paul Read, fleet marketing manager at Hertz, said: “The results speak for themselves. However, what can’t be captured by data is the great collaboration we have built with Dealer Auction.

“We’ve got a genuine partnership with the team, they’re always challenging us to get better results and finding the right solutions to help us maintain strong performance within an ever-evolving market.”
