AW Repair Group opens 11th site

AW Repair Group has announced its 11th site with a technology-packed future ready bodyshop in Lincoln.

The 14,000 sqft site opened its doors last week following an extensive fit-out programme and will create 18 new jobs including two apprenticeships.

It is prepared with significant EV battery storage, ADAS calibration equipment and is preparing for the addition of a specialist multi-material bay as further demand rises. The new site, which gained the BS10125 accreditation within its first week, has been purposely designed with efficiency, technology and energy saving initiatives at its heart, complying with the company’s PAS2060 carbon neutrality standard.

Andrew Walsh, founder and CEO, said: “We not only have the technology but also the awareness and training in our teams to ensure we are fully ready for the future. It’s no longer feasible to set up a new site in the traditional way and space has already been allocated for emerging technologies becoming the everyday norm.”

This site, which comes just a few months after AW Repair Group opened its Fast Finish Centre in Boston, comprises of a 10m drive-through Junair Spraybooth with QAD drying technology and full downdraught, Skate & Rail Vehicle Transfer System, inset mid-rise lifts, wheel alignment scissor lift, Car-O-Liner Bench Rack and Car-O-Tronic Measuring System. PowerTec Nitrogen Plastic Welding Technology, Beissbarth Wheel Aligner and ADAS recalibration equipment also feature.
