No Bridge too far
S&G Response IT officer Michael Bridge has raised more than £3,000 for charity after completing 262 10k runs during 2020.
He has been raising the money for Sarcoma UK, after his father passed away from this rare form of cancer four years ago.
He said: “I am speechless in regards to the amount donated. I set up the Just Giving page to raise as much as possible but I didn’t think in my wildest imagination that people would be so generous to push the amount above £3,000.
“I’d like to donate this money to raise awareness of this specific illness and help Sarcoma UK to work on a better and more effective treatment.”
Bridge completed his challenge on 19 December, when he ran the final five 10ks back to back, despite suffering from a twisted ankle.
