Used Tesla sales cool in winter
New data has revealed that used Tesla sales in the UK tailed off in the last quarter of 2025 after peaking in the summer.
According to used vehicle market data experts Marketcheck, used Tesla sales rose consistently in the first half of the year, peaking in July with 2,983 units sold – the highest monthly total on record.
A further 2,904 units were sold in August before sales fell off to 2,733, 2,756, and 2,502 units in the next three months. It ended the year with just 1,941 sales in December, which was 34.9% down on the summer high.
Alastair Campbell, Marketcheck UK, said: “Used Tesla sales saw strong momentum through the spring and summer months of 2025, but the second half of the year revealed signs of softening demand. December’s figures mark the lowest monthly sales volume in over a year.
“While Tesla remains one of the most sought-after EV brands in the UK, these figures suggest a slowing over the second half of 2025. Whether this downward trend continues into 2026 will depend on pricing, competition, and ongoing consumer confidence in EVs.”
