Used electric vehicles undercutting ICE models
Used electric vehicles are on average £1,800 cheaper than equivalent petrol and diesel models, according to the latest analysis from Big Motoring World.
It compared the prices of eight of the most popular two-year-old electric models with petrol and diesel variations and found electrics were on average £1,837 cheaper.
The biggest variation was for the BMW iX3, which was £8,854 less than the BMW X3, which equates to 22%. Meanwhile, the Volkswagen ID.3 averaged £2,813 cheaper than the Volkswagen Golf, and the MINI Electric Cooper was £1,444 below the sales prices of its petrol model.
Falling prices come alongside rising demand, with used electric sales at Big Motoring World increasing 79% in the last year.
Compelling reason
