Train to Gain adopted by Fix Auto Penzance

RWC Training has announced that Fix Auto Penzance has adopted its Train to Gain CPD programme.

It is the second Fix Auto UK site to use Train to Gain after Fix Auto Rochester.

The move underlines Fix Auto Penzance’s commitment to reducing its environmental impact. Both RWC and Fix Auto Penzance have signed up to ARIES while the Train to Gain model supports sustainability with its remote-validation and video-appraisal model eliminating the need for technicians to travel to off-site training centres.

Stuart Cameron, managing director of Fix Auto Penzance, said: “Sustainability is at the core of everything we do, from our solar arrays to our EV charging infrastructure. When looking at our training requirements, we wanted a solution that aligned with our PAS 2060 status and commitment to ARIES, rather than working against it.

“Train to Gain is the perfect fit; it allows our team to access high-level upskilling and maintain compliance without the carbon-heavy requirement of sending staff and vehicles across the country. It proves that high-quality technical training and environmental responsibility can go hand-in-hand.”

Pioneers

Matt Mardell, business development director at RWC Training, added: “Stuart and the team at Fix Auto Penzance are true pioneers. We are delighted to welcome them as our second Fix Auto partner.

“As fellow members of the ARIES Hub, we understand the importance of verifiable carbon reduction. For a business that has worked so hard to achieve carbon neutrality, the traditional training model of ‘technician travel’ was a clear pain point.

“We are proud that Train to Gain can support their green mission with a 100% BS 10125 compliant, remote-validated training path.”
