Sycamore Trust celebrates charity match win
Fix Auto Dagenham raised valuable funds for the Sycamore Trust with a charity football match against Enterprise Rent-A-Car.
Held at Dagenham & Redbridge FC, Fix Auto Dagenham came back from 2-0 down inside 10 minutes to win the game 7-3 and avenge defeat to the same opponents in last year’s match.
The real winner though was the Sycamore Trust, which supports individuals and families affected by autism and learning difficulties, with more than £7,000 raised.
Fix Auto Dagenham operations director Neil Parker said: “Going two goals down so early definitely wasn’t part of the game plan and from the sidelines it was probably more stressful than actually playing
“But the lads showed great character to turn it around and put on a brilliant show for everyone watching. To score seven goals and finally get one over on Enterprise made it a fantastic night, but raising £7,000 for the Sycamore Trust is what really mattered.
“The support from everyone who came along, donated and got behind the event was incredible once again. The Sycamore Trust means a great deal to us all at Fix Auto Dagenham, so to be able to raise that amount of money while enjoying such a memorable evening made it very special.”
