Nominations open for UK Fleet Champion Awards
Road safety charity Brake is inviting nominations for this year’s UK Fleet Champion Awards.
The awards recognise best practice, hard work and innovative projects that contribute to creating safer roads for everyone.
Applications are welcome from any organisation that supports the fleet industry with products or services promoting road and transport safety. Brake is also looking for nominations for colleagues who have gone the extra mile to reduce work-related road risks.
The deadline for entries is 5pm on Friday, 1 May, with the winners announced at a glittering ceremony at New Dock Hall in central Leeds, on Wednesday, 30 September.
This year’s categories are: Emergency Services Driver Safety Award; Road Safety Hero Award; Net Zero Award; Company Driver Safety Award; Dr Will Murray Award for Analysis and Action; Fleet Safety Technology Innovation Award; Fleet Safety Partnership Award; Fleet Safety Product Award; Safe Vehicles Award; Road Safety in the Community Award; Road Risk Manager of the Year Award; and the Kevin Storey Award for Outstanding Commitment to Road Safety.

Brake CEO Ross Moorlock said: “The UK Fleet Champions Awards are a wonderful opportunity to recognise organisations and individuals who put road safety at the heart of their operations. With around one in three road deaths and one-fifth of serious injuries in the UK involving someone driving for work, these organisations play a vital role in the pursuit of safer roads for everyone, however they travel.
“I am always proud and excited to honour the important achievements of individuals and organisations who work so hard to prevent crashes and reduce pollution caused by work vehicles.”
