New tool helps drivers find cheapest car insurance
MoneySuperMarket has unveiled a new tool to help drivers secure the cheapest car insurance quote.
Price Optimiser analyses the details in a customer’s quote and highlights the factors that could be impacting premiums.
It then guides the motorist through appropriate changes that could be made before automatically updating the price of the quote.
Potential amendments to the quote that could reduce the cost include:
- Mileage check: Price Optimiser uses DVLA MOT data to check the driver isn’t overstating their average mileage
- Cover type: Price Optimiser calculates whether third party, third party fire and theft, or comprehensive cover would be most suitable
- Payment type: Price Optimiser highlights potential savings from paying annually rather than monthly
- Driving licence information: customers are prompted to add missing licence details
- Optional extras: Price Optimiser highlights any add-ons that customers can remove if they don’t need them.
