New IMI-certified TPMS training programme launched
Autotech Training has partnered with Autogem to launch an IMI-certified TPMS training programme.
The TPMS (tyre pressure monitoring system) programme has been developed to meet the growing technical demands on tyre technicians, including sensor replacements, diagnostics, relearn procedures and system resets.
The programme, which combines Autogem’s TPMS expertise with Autotech Training’s IMI-approved accreditation framework to create a certified course, will be delivered through both Autotech Training and Autogem’s dedicated training facilities as part of a wider rollout across the UK aftermarket.
Prashant Chopra, managing director at Autogem, said: “The tyre industry keeps the country moving and we shouldn’t underestimate the role it plays. Training and the continuous development of training is essential, and we feel a responsibility to help drive those standards.
“There is little value in investing in advanced TPMS tooling if technicians do not feel confident using it to its full potential. Proper training ensures workshops can maximise the capabilities of their equipment, improve efficiency, reduce errors and ultimately deliver a better service to customers.”
Vehicle technology
