Miles that Matter challenge unveiled by Ben
Automotive charity Ben has launched its Miles that Matter charity initiative to raise funds for those struggling.
As part of Miles that Matter, it is encouraging those within the automotive sector to set a distance goal and run or walk it during April while raising funds for the charity.
Participants can sign up individually or as part of a team, making it a great opportunity to come together for a worthy cause while also boosting morale and promoting wellbeing.
The challenge has been introduced as cost-of-living pressures continue to affect the health and wellbeing of people across the automotive industry. Automotive workers are now facing more complex issues than ever, including financial hardship, mental health challenges, relationship breakdowns, physical illness, and many other personal difficulties.

Every mile matters
Matt Wigginton, director of growth and development at Ben, said: “Every mile really does matter for those in our industry who are struggling or in crisis. By taking part in this exciting new challenge, our automotive community can improve their own health and wellbeing and make a life-changing difference to colleagues facing tough times.
“We’re encouraging businesses and individuals across the sector to lace up this April and join us.”
Alongside Miles that Matter, Ben has a number of other charity challenges taking place across the year, including the Thames Bridges Trek, Manchester Half Marathon, Kiltwalk, Great South Run, and Run Fest.
