Michael Golding joins Plastic Repair Alliance Council

Plasnomic has appointed Michael Golding, network manager at Allianz UK, to the Plastic Repair Alliance Council.

Plasnomic has been established to strengthen industry alignment on plastic repair to create a clearer understanding of best practices, from the right repair process, tools and materials to structured education pathways and stronger repair-first strategies.

Golding’s appointment underlines the growing level of collaboration it is building across the industry, involving insurers, repairers, suppliers and training providers.

He has more than 38 years of experience in the motor accident repair and insurance claims industry, having begun his career as an apprentice collision repair technician. Throughout his career, he has built a broad, in-depth skill set spanning bodyshop estimating, management, and insurance engineering.

Collaboration

Mario Dimovski, head of the Plasnomic Council, said: “Michael’s appointment signals the level of collaborative work Plasnomic is undertaking with collision repairers, supply partners, training organisations, and insurers across the UK and EU markets.

“Having global insurance leadership at the council level ensures that operational realities, cost efficiency, sustainability goals, and technical standards move forward together.”

Meanwhile, the Plastic Repair Alliance Council is being restructured to allow specific council groups to focus on dedicated sectors such as collision repair operations, insurance strategy, supply chain alignment, training and education, sustainability, and OEM integration.
