LEPAS set for UK launch as Chery’s fourth brand

Chinese vehicle manufacturer Chery has announced it will launch its fourth brand, LEPAS, in the UK later this year.

It follows the introduction of OMODA in August 2024, JAECOO in January 2025, and CHERY UK last summer.

LEPAS has been designed as a new energy vehicle for the European market, combining efficiency with comfort and advanced technology.

The announcement builds on the group’s strong momentum in the UK, which has seen it record the fastest-ever growth in marketshare, up from 0.5% to 5.3% in 18 months.

It has already agreed a strategic partnership with Thatcham Research to integrate repairability into its models from the outset to support insurability, and earlier this month secured accreditation to the Motor Ombudsman’s Motor Industry Code of Practice for New Cars.

LEPAS sales are expected to being in the third quarter of this year.
