Johan Verbois appointed CARA executive director
The Car Remarketing Association Europe has appointed Johan Verbois as its first executive director.
He was selected from a shortlist of 10 European candidates based on his extensive industry experience, strategic vision and strong operational execution, as well as his long-standing commitment to CARA.
CARA has established itself as a results-driven association by delivering concrete, industry relevant outputs for its members.
These include the Fair Wear and Tear Guides, which provide a common reference framework for vehicle condition assessment, the Battery State of Health standards, supporting transparency in the growing electric vehicle market, and the newly-developed CARA Grading, which creates greater consistency and comparability across remarketing channels.
Dedicated leadership
Luis Maria Pérez Serrano, chairman of CARA, said: “CARA has reached a point where dedicated leadership is essential to support its growth and ambitions. Johan combines deep industry knowledge with a pragmatic and collaborative leadership style.
“He understands both the strategic and operational realities of our sector, and he is ideally positioned to guide CARA into its next phase.”
