Jaguar F-Pace named Best Buy on Dealer Auction
The Jaguar F-Pace was rated the Best Buy on Dealer Auction for the second quarter in a row.
The rating is based on a combination of trade price, estimated margins and speed to sale.
Across the whole platform, the average selling price of a used car in the second quarter of the year was recorded at £6,851, while the average vehicle age was 7.7 years with average mileage increasing from 54,595 in the first three months of the year to 66,098 miles.
Meanwhile, alternative fuel vehicles accounted for nearly 11% of all fuel-type sales, with the Nissan Qashqai Hybrid ranked fourth in the overall CAP Clean ranking.
Used car market
Kieran TeeBoon, marketplace director at Dealer Auction, said: “Quarter two follows a record-breaking quarter one and has delivered another quarter of consistent and encouraging results. The used car market outperformed seasonal expectations. This builds confidence in a market that’s showing signs of stability after years of volatility.
“Dealers are continuing to act decisively, and it’s particularly positive to see greater diversity in fuel types across sales as buyer demand continues to evolve.”
He added: “The market continues to show strong momentum as we move into the second half of the year, with competition for quality stock remaining high. It’ll be interesting to see how these trends develop over the coming months as dealers adapt to changing market conditions.”
