FMG Repair Services has expanded its network with the announcement today of the opening of a new high-tech repair centre in Cardiff.
The facility enhances capacity in the region while introducing specialist light commercial vehicle capability and a dedicated fast-track repair solution for minor damage, complementing the company’s mobile repair offering.
FMGRS opens new Cardiff site
Located on the Llandough Trading Estate to the west of the city, the new bodyshop offers access to Cardiff’s major road networks. It replaces the company’s previous Ely site, with the experienced team of skilled technicians relocating to the new premises.
The 20,000-sqft facility has undergone a comprehensive redevelopment to create a modern workshop equipped with advanced repair tech. The site is designed and is fully equipped to handle LCVs, electric vehicles and hybrids.
The bodyshop features 28 repair bays, on-site ADAS calibration technology, and dedicated equipment for plastic and aluminium repairs. A newly introduced fast-track repair service will accelerate turnaround times for minor damage, supported by a Tempo spraybooth system that reduces vehicle movement by bringing the booth directly to the car.
Significant investment
Paul Wrigglesworth, managing director, said as FMGRS opens new Cardiff site:
“Our new Cardiff bodyshop represents a significant investment in delivering efficient, high-quality and future-ready repair solutions. The facility has been equipped to support modern vehicle technologies and materials, ensuring we continue to meet the evolving needs of our customers.
“This expansion reflects our long-term strategy to operate from scalable, high-performance sites in key locations. We look forward to welcoming both new and existing customers to our Cardiff facility.”
